I just watched this fight today for the first time on tape and I was really suprised. I knew Harris won a very narrow split decision in Germany so I was thinking that with the BS judging he probably won a pretty clear decision. This fight was ridiculous. These guys would exchange, throw, and land at the same time all night and it was seriously like a dead even fight. This really should have been a draw. I thought 6 rounds could have easily been draws.
Harris knocked him down in the second but didnt hurt him. For the first couple of rounds Urkal was lunging in because of Harris's reach and getting caught on the way out. In the third round he did it and got dropped. For the rest of the fight though Urkal became more comfortable with Harris's reach and it was a seriously even fight. I had it all tied up going into the 12th round and had to give the 12th to Urkal.
I am really shocked the judges gave Harris the decision. One was from Panama and I didnt hear where the other two were from but I dont see how you could have scored it for Vivian. I thought it would have been a great draw but if I had to pick a winner I had Urkal by one point. Anyway, it was as competitive a fight as you can get.
